Gatto is a sculptural table lamp designed in 1960 by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni. It features the signature Cocoon technique, in which a steel frame is sprayed with a soft, web-like resin. The duo began experimenting with this method in the 1950s after discovering its use in industrial applications. The result is a delicate yet durable surface that diffuses a warm, ambient glow. Named after the Italian word for ‘cat’, Gatto brings a quiet, luminous presence to any space.
