Suspension lamp emitting diffused light. Internal structure in white powder-coated steel. Diffuser in Cocoon resin with transparent protective spray finish. Interlocking ring in polished, gold-plated galvanic steel. Die-cast zamak ceiling rose in polished, gold-plated galvanic finish.

Designed by Michael Anastassiades, Overlap is a contemporary tribute to Flos’s iconic use of the Cocoon technique, a method originally borrowed from US industry and ingeniously applied to lighting. The two interlocking rings appear to press against the soft membrane, barely revealing the structure beneath. Inspired by both geometry and tension, the lamp invites curiosity by concealing the space where the forms intersect. Overlap is a study in contrast captured in a floating, luminous volume.
