Named after a legendary beer hall in Milan, Splügen Bräu was created in 1961 when Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni were commissioned to design the bar’s interiors. Conceived as a complete concept inspired by Neo-Liberty style and the ambience of old train carriages, the brothers developed a pendant lamp that captured the venue’s convivial spirit: modern, precise and full of character. Though the bar is long gone, the lamp remains, preserving a piece of Milan’s cultural history.
