For the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games, Casa Italia is a project by CONI that showcases Italian excellence through culture, hospitality and Olympic values. Present in Milan, Livigno and Cortina d’Ampezzo, it welcomes athletes, partners and an international audience, presenting a contemporary image of Italy’s cultural heritage. The theme Muse celebrates Italy as a source of creative inspiration and beauty. The project is developed under the coordination of Lorenzo Pellicelli.

Developed by Flos and Fabertechnica, a single idea of light takes shape across the three locations in different ways, adapting to each context while maintaining a shared sensibility and combining precise technical lighting with renowned icons of Italian design.

At Farsettiarte in Cortina d’Ampezzo, lighting connects the historic building with a contemporary extension. Precision lighting showcases the modular structure and creates visual focal points, particularly highlighting the artworks. Bellhop Glass pendant lamps soften the overall effect while complementing the wooden ceiling.

At the Triennale di Milano, a dialogue between natural and artificial light shapes the experience. In the exhibition areas, Flos lighting remains discreet and functional. In the social spaces, iconic floor lamps such as Arco, KTribe, Captain Flint and SuperWire cultivate a warm, welcoming atmosphere within the monumental setting.

At the Aquagranda Olympic Preparation Centre in Livigno, light shifts the atmosphere from purely functional to elegant and welcoming. Iconic Flos designs, including Mario Bellini’s Chiara, introduce a sense of care and refinement without disrupting the site’s sporting identity.

As an icon of Italian design and following its participation in the Paris 2024 Games, Flos continues to explore how design can represent Italy on a global stage. Light becomes an ambassador, reflecting the values of heritage, excellence and innovation that define both the brand and the Olympic spirit.
