Floor lamp emitting diffused light. Base, rod stand and diffuser stand in chrome-plated die-cast zinc with base cover in steel. Internal diffuser and lamp-holder stand in opal injection die-stamped PC. External diffuser available in PVC fabric, injection die-stamped methacrylate with clear or smoke-grey finish, or in silver or bronze on the inner surface, by vacuum aluminum coating. Upper ring in clear injection die-stamped PC with stainless steel brackets. Features three rotating shelves.

Designed by Philippe Starck, Bibliothèque Nationale imagines a playful, fairy-tale library where books seem to soar towards the light. Three cantilevered shelves rotate around the stem, offering a customisable space for books and personal objects while illuminating the room. Complete with a discreet USB port, it is a lamp for modern living, facilitating both busy routines and moments of rest. Reflecting Starck’s characteristic wit, the name is a playful nod to France’s national library.
