Taccia (PMMA)

Table lamp emitting indirect and reflected light. Aluminium reflector, gloss white on the outside and matt white on the inside, mounted on an adjustable transparent PMMA diffuser. Body in matt black or natural anodised extruded aluminium with a nickel-plated metal base. Equipped with a dimmer for 10–100% light adjustment. Plug-in power supply with interchangeable plugs included.

Designed by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni in 1962, Taccia was conceived with the idea of turning a ceiling lamp upside down. Taccia PMMA reinterprets the iconic design with a lighter diffuser in transparent PMMA. Retaining the dramatic interplay of reflector and base, it preserves the sculptural presence and indirect glow of the original while introducing a practical alternative to mouth-blown glass. A timeless classic made available in a contemporary variation.
