The collection includes table, suspension, and floor models. Each lamp features a hexagonal base constructed from planar glass panels connected by polished aluminium elements and illuminated by a thin, flat, and flexible LED strip, custom-developed by Flos to measure up to one metre in length.
SuperWire fits within the studio’s wider scope, which combines a poetic aesthetic with environmental commitment. The collection is a rare example of a lighting design with an LED light source that can be removed and replaced by the user.
Made of planar glass hexagons connected by polished aluminium elements, the entire surface of SuperWire lights up thanks to a custom-developed light source by the Flos R&D team. This LED strip can be easily removed for replacement and repair – a unique innovation in LED bulb-less lamp design.
Suspension models feature a concealed downlight module for functional accent lighting on tables, complemented by the warm, diffuse glow of the vertical modules.
The floor lamp consists of two 75 cm modules stacked vertically on a steel tripod, a nod to the iconic Luminator by the Castiglioni brothers.
The table lamp is composed of a single 45 cm module topped with a hexagonal glass cover.
